Mission Statement

Tahirih’s Forced Marriage Initiative works to end forced marriage by building a national movement to protect the rights of anyone facing forced marriage, supporting collaborations across communities, and opening space for dialogue among diverse voices. It is the first and largest program of its kind dedicated to serving individuals at risk and survivors of forced marriage in the United States.
