Mission Statement

PARICHITI is a women's group that dreams of a society where women, girls, and people of all other genders can live in a just and equal world. Our work is spread around different parts of Southern Kolkata and South 24 Parganas.

PARICHITI is currently working with a) Women domestic workers and other marginalized women in and around Kolkata, b) working class men because we believe that men have a role to play in establishing a gender equal world and c) Kolkata Initiatives which is a city specific intervention with the primary objective to create community engagement where individuals can contribute time, money, skill and other resources to create a more equal world.

PARICHITI has currently 10 members operating from our office in Kolkata. PARICHITI is also working with various organizations around India. We have been able to reach almost 5000 people in these two districts in West Bengal.

In 2017 Parichiti merged with the Centre for Health and Social Justice (CHSJ) New Delhi
