Mission Statement

The mandate of the OCEHT is to actively combat all forms of human trafficking, especially human trafficking in the National Capital Region, by:

- creating a space where traditional and non-traditional service providers are able to join a supportive community that understands their diverse interests and needs, to network with other service providers and local anti-human trafficking volunteers, and to work in collaboration with other community members and stakeholders in the National Capital Region to form a united force to combat human trafficking;

- supporting traditional and non-traditional service providers, such that they are fully equipped to meet the acute, immediate, and long-term resource and support needs of persons affected by human trafficking, including survivors, their families, and communities, as well as persons who may be at risk of exploitation for the purposes of sexual exploitation, labour exploitation, or organ removal / harvest; and
