Kav LaOved - Worker's Hotline (KLO) is a leading labour rights CSO in Israel. Since its founding in 1991 Kav LaOved has been assisting the most disadvantaged workers in Israel irrespective of race, nationality, religion, gender, or legal status, to attain their labour rights. We support vulnerable Israelis, migrant workers, asylum seekers and Palestinians from the West Bank and East Jerusalem who work in Israel. All these groups suffer widespread, and at times systemic, labour rights' violations as well as a complex web of arcane bureaucratic policies, lax labour law enforcement and punitive legislation, which keep them at the margins and in poverty. Our work touches almost all sectors of the labour market, from construction to caregiving. We are the main organisation in Israel referring victims of trafficking for labour to the authorities. We identify victims of trafficking when they reach out to us for help with their workers' rights.
