Mission Statement

"To teach the woman to be self-sufficient and sustainable in the development process"
Survivors are usually stigmatized and under looked in their communities. As such WOGED strives to give them new lives by building their self-esteem. The returnees and other local victims of human trafficking are taught to fish so that they can be independent and earn their living honourably. By earning a living honourably, survivors regain their place in society and are able to support their families and dependents.
The development process for every country depends on every member of that society. It is therefore necessary for the woman to be part of that development process by taking an active in making herself useful in her community. Survivors are exposed to situations where they can meet other vulnerable people, share their stories and make use of expertise of those they are exposed to and move on in life. At WOGED we believe that it's better when a woman has a job that is sustainable.
