Sex work is a professional activity and deserves recognition as such
Sex workers* deserve respect, recognition and the respect of their dignity regardless of their origin, sexual orientation, gender, social status, lifestyle and religion.
Violence against sex workers* should be condemned socially just as violence against other people. This means that sex workers have the same rights and are treated with the same sensitivity as violent crimes against non-sex workers.
Sex work and human trafficking must be clearly distinguished from each other. Sex work is a professional activity, human trafficking a crime. Linking the two issues in the public debate is part of the problem and not part of the solution.
