Mission Statement

Founded in 1975, The Movement Against Rape and Incest (Mouvement contre le viol et l’inceste MCVI) is a feminist sexual assault center located in Montreal, Quebec. For over 45 years, we have been providing direct support and accompaniment services to female victims of sexual violence. In the last two decades, MCVI has developed a recognized expertise in providing direct support services to women with precarious immigration status, who have experienced various forms of sexual or gender-based violence, such as female genital mutilation, domestic violence, corrective rape, forced marriage, wartime sexual violence and human trafficking.
