IROKO’s mission is to reinforce human rights and solidarity between diverse peoples, cultures and life experiences. IROKO fights against all forms of exclusion, marginalisation, racism and xenophobia, by working for a more humane, equal and democratic society. IROKO promotes the dignity and appropriate conditions of life for all persons, especially migrants, who are socially and economically disadvantaged. IROKO gives them voice and visibility, by making them active participants in the achievement of their economic independence and social inclusion. IROKO works to change all situations that reduce citizens to material indigence, making it difficult for them to achieve their full potential. Such indigency is often transformed by society into social stigma. The core of IROKO’s Mission is to fight for the elimination of all forms of violence against women and children, with special attention to the elimination of the trafficking and sexual exploitation of women and children.
