Mission Statement

The Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST) is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit organization that is working to put an end to modern slavery and human trafficking through comprehensive, life-transforming services to survivors and a platform to advocate for groundbreaking policies and legislation. Over the past two decades, CAST has supported thousands of survivors through every phase of their journey to freedom from counseling, to legal resources, to housing, educational and leadership training and mentorship. Through these programs, CAST has helped empower survivors to overcome their traumatic pasts and become leading voices in shaping policy and public awareness to ultimately put an end to the fastest growing criminal enterprise of the 21st century.

Important Notice

Compass Connections is honored to assume operations of the National Human Trafficking Hotline. We are working closely with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Polaris to ensure a smooth and coordinated transition. To ensure there are no lapses in services, the handoff of the Hotline communication channels including SMS, chat, and the toll-free number is being conducted in a phased approach over the next month, with full operational transition anticipated in December.

During this transition period, our joint focus with HHS and Polaris remains on maintaining survivor safety, confidentiality, and continuous access to critical services. We appreciate the patience and support of the Hotline partners and stakeholders throughout this process. Once the transition is complete, Compass Connections will begin engaging with partners and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and continue our shared commitment to supporting survivors and combating human trafficking.
