Intersectionality" was coined in the world of law by Kimberle Crenshaw, to understand how race, ethnicity, class, sexuality, and gender overlap to shape individual experiences of discrimination. In the COVID crisis, there has been an unprecedented rise in cases of abuse and trauma to women from ethnic minority backgrounds, which have gone unchecked. This is why in honor of Black History Month 2020, it is imperative that we address these issues and the changing social climate of the pandemic with a panel of experts during the screening. Join ROMILDAMOR and a panel of experts on 10th October to raise awareness about World Mental Health Day, and the experiences of abuse and trafficking survivors! We will be screening a documentary to highlight the impact of Human Trafficking on women from the intersectionality group. Please find the link below which will begin at 6:00pm GMT. The event is completely FREE. Join Zoom Meetinghttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/84541835383?pwd=V0hTdzJxam5nQnlMWGtBQmJiZzBBdz09 Meeting ID: 845 4183 5383Passcode: ROMILDAMOR
